Mona is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians who is originally from Iran she completed her undergraduate medical degree in 2009 at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. During her medical internship, she developed a strong interest in sports medicine, and following the completion of her Doctor of Medicine in 2009, she pursued specialist training in Sports and Exercise Medicine .She earned her fellowship in sport and exercise medicine in 2013 at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. During her career in Iran, she worked with a diverse range of athletes, including professional soccer, tennis, and volleyball players. She also gained extensive experience in managing musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries in the general population, helping individuals—from youth to the elderly—stay active, healthy, and pain-free.
In 2020, Mona moved to Melbourne, where she continued her career as an overseas-trained specialist (SIMG) in the Mornington Peninsula area.
