I completed my Bachelor of Optometry (Honours) at the University of Auckland and have been practicing for over 14 years. Before moving to Australia, I worked in New Zealand, where I enjoyed being a trusted local optometrist for my community. I have a special interest in children’s vision, myopia control, dry eye management, and general eye care. Helping patients achieve their best vision—whether through myopia management, dry eye treatment, or routine eye exams—is something I’m truly passionate about. I also speak Tagalog. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and enjoy running. I’ve signed up for the Melbourne half marathon this year and am looking forward to the challenge! I am a member of Optometry Australia, and The New Zealand Association of Optometrists

I completed my Bachelor of Vision Science and Masters of Optometry at Deakin University in Geelong and have an interest in children’s vision, myopia control & contact lenses. I was born & raised in Werribee and love being a part of this diverse community. I first started at Insight Vision Care as an optical dispenser while I completed my Optometry degree. I decided to become an Optometrist because I love getting to know people and being able to help them. Outside of Optometry, I enjoy playing netball and spending time in the outdoors. I continue to live locally with my partner Adam & fur baby Mozzie

Daniel is the co-founder of Insight Vision Care. He's a behavioural Optometrist, having completed specialised training in children’s vision and the treatment of visual dysfunctions and visual processing issues that can present as learning difficulties. He also undertakes specialist contact lens fitting, such as multifocals and ortho-K lenses, and is therapeutically endorsed, allowing him to prescribe a range of eye drops for eye disease. Daniel has been wearing glasses since he was 5 years old and remembers putting on his first pair and being able to see the leaves on trees! Since then he's always wanted to be an Optometrist and feels it’s an honour to be able to do that for other people. He lives locally with his wife and 2 sons, and his dogs, Barney, Shadow and Milo. I completed my Bachelor of Optometry in Auckland, New Zealand and am therapeutically endorsed. I have experience in children’s vision assessment & management, myopia control & dry eye treatment. And I’ve been involved in the teaching & demonstration of clinical skills for the first & second year Optometry students at the University of Melbourne. I was born in Taiwan & moved to New Zealand with my family when I was young and then to Australia after completing my Optometry degree. I’m fluent in Mandarin & enjoy spending time with my family. Life is never dull trying to entertain my two young kids and a fur baby dog. Outside of Optometry, I enjoy the piano, pilates, photography and travelling. Before the children were born, it was to more adventurous places like hiking the Machu Picchu trek in Peru and cycling through the Otago rail trail in New Zealand. Now with the kids, it’s just local road trips, but waiting for the kids to grow up a bit older for more explorations around the world.
