Dr Kiat Cheng is a Queensland-trained GP with a special interest in skin cancer medicine, dermatology, and minor procedures.
Dr Kiat Cheng is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc), and has completed an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery and Medicine.
Dr Cheng graduated from the University of Queensland in 2015.
He has worked across a range of hospital settings in Queensland, including Rockhampton Base Hospital, Ipswich General Hospital, and Bundaberg Base Hospital, gaining experience across general medicine, emergency, and surgical rotations. He later worked in general practice and skin cancer clinics, including Grace Family Practice and Skin Care, and Grace Skin and Vein Centre.
Dr Cheng’s areas of interest include skin cancer medicine, mole mapping, dermatology, minor procedures (such as mole removal and ingrown toenail resection), musculoskeletal conditions, and chronic disease management.
Outside of work, Dr Cheng enjoys hiking, basketball, and weight training, and values the role of physical activity in overall health and wellbeing.
