When I was eight years old, a pair of glasses changed my life for the better. Until receiving my first prescription, I’d been struggling in school, experiencing particular trouble reading. But after putting on that new, special pair of glasses, I became much more academically focused, developing a firm desire to become an optometrist one day. Before opening my own business, I’d always worked for independent practices. Relieved of chain store pressures, independent practices always give their best to patients, taking the time to conduct thorough examinations and respond to individual conditions. Independent optometry also frees us of the corporate constraints that limit our choice of brands, lenses, and frames. Hunters Hill Optical is all about that. Here, we’re dedicated to consistently expanding our industry knowledge, tracking the latest advances, and mastering the newest techniques. Customers are always offered personalized spectacles and lenses suited to their eyes and day-to-day needs. Like my hometown of Bundaberg, Hunters Hill has an incredibly friendly community spirit. Local support is a lovely thing, and one of my favorite aspects of living and working in this welcoming suburb. The correct prescription had a profoundly positive effect on my life, and I love that we can help do the same for others. I’ll never tire of seeing a child’s face light up in the joy that follows seeing clearly for the first time.
