Dr Maryam Henein graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. She has a broad range of dental experience, having worked in Darwin, including remote indigenous communities, as well as private practices across Melbourne and in Port Macquarie. Her approach to practice is minimally invasive and she is a firm believer that prevention is better than cure. Importantly, she also believes that one must continually update their skills and knowledge with further education. Dr. MARYAM HENEIN In addition to being in private practice, Dr Maryam is involved in dental volunteering projects in the developing world. Outside of dentistry, her interests include philosophy, meeting people and hearing their stories, travelling, yoga, pilates, AFL (go Saints!), good coffee, trying new things and spending time with friends, family and her beloved pug, Blue.

Dr. Alexander Goichman B.Med.Sc D.M.D has been practicing clinical dentistry since 2001. As a young dentist, he believed that by gaining experience in different areas of dentistry and being exposed to diverse and different approaches to dental diagnosis and treatment will allow him to offer his patients the highest level of treatment. In his early years Alex worked in private and corporate dental practices, he spent months working with Oral surgeons, Prosthodontists, Endodontists and periodontists. He is head of Balaclava dental care team.

Dr. Katie Adamson graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2009 and has experience working in both country and metropolitan Melbourne. She strives to provide all patients with a high standard of care, focusing on each individual’s needs when formulating a treatment plan. Dr. Adamson ensures her patients understand all treatment and procedures, helping them receive the most out of their dental treatment. She enjoys developing a strong rapport with patients and making anxious patients feel at ease.

Dr Nonu Kohli spent her early days as a dentist volunteering to help underprivileged people access dentistry, and saw firsthand how oral healthcare can improve lives. Since moving from India to Australia in 2014, Nonu has continued to love helping others through dentistry, treating patients in English, Punjabi and Hindi. With special interests in aesthetic procedures such as crowns, bridges and veneers, she loves helping others smile with confidence. Dr. NONU KOHLI - Balaclava dental care Nonu understands how nervous people can feel towards dental treatments. With her gentle, patient manner, she creates a relaxed and comfortable setting in her appointments, and takes plenty of time to explain treatments and answer questions. Nonu gets excited about educating her patients on how to best look after their teeth, and loves to see people leaving their appointments with new knowledge and a newfound inspiration to protect their smiles. When she’s not at work, Nonu’s adventurous spirit drives her to travel, so she can see exciting new destinations, meet plenty of new people, and try lots of delicious food.
