Dr An (“Anne”) graduated from the University of Queensland and has worked across public, rural (Dalby), and private dental sectors in Queensland. Starting as a dental assistant, she gained invaluable insight into all aspects of the dental process, which has shaped her approach to patient care. This hands-on experience has helped her develop strong communication skills and a knack for making patients feel at ease, particularly those who experience dental anxiety.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr An is deeply committed to volunteering. She has volunteered with the Tzu Chi Foundation and Micah Projects, delivering dental care to at-risk and refugee patients in South Brisbane. She has also traveled to rural Queensland and Cambodia with humanitarian aid groups, offering her skills to disadvantaged local communities in need of dental care.
As a lifelong learner, Dr An stays current with the latest dental advancements through ongoing education, including study clubs with the Cadmus Society, courses with the Australian Dental Association, and the Australian Prosthodontic Society.
Her clinical interests include general and restorative dentistry, especially complex cases that focus on restoring worn teeth and ensuring long-term dental health.
Outside of work, Dr An enjoys hands-on activities like furniture restoration and pottery. she is also an avid dog owner who brushes her German Shepherd’s teeth (A bit too) religiously.
