Dr Daniel Lancini is a specialist Cardiac Electrophysiologist with extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing heart rhythm disorders. His clinical skills include electrophysiological studies, ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac device implantation, and the evaluation of symptoms such as palpitations and syncope. He completed his medical degree at The University of Queensland, where he was awarded an Academic Excellence Scholarship, graduating with First Class Honours in 2014. His cardiology training was undertaken through several prominent institutions, including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, and Sunshine Coast University Hospital, leading to his qualification as a cardiologist in 2021. To further specialize, Dr Lancini completed an international fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Canada from 2022 to 2024. Under the mentorship of renowned North American electrophysiologists, he gained advanced training in arrhythmia ablation and cardiac device implantation and management. His academic achievements include receiving a Queensland Health Research Fellowship and earning a PhD from The University of Queensland in 2024, focusing on the mechanisms and clinical implications of atrial fibrillation. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed cardiology journals and presented at top international heart rhythm conferences. Dr Lancini is also an Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland and actively mentors junior doctors in clinical research. Outside of medicine, Daniel enjoys playing the piano, cooking with his wife Lia, and is currently learning to speak Italian. Dr. Nicholas Aroney is a Queensland-born and educated Interventional and Structural Cardiologist. He graduated with First Class Honours in his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Griffith University in 2011 and later achieved a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians in Adult Cardiology. His early training included appointments at the Royal Brisbane and Prince Charles Hospitals, followed by a two-year coronary and structural fellowship at The Prince Charles Hospital. In 2020-21, Dr. Aroney further honed his expertise as the Structural Heart Fellow at St Thomas' Hospital in London, a global leader in TAVI, adult structural, and adult congenital heart procedures. During his time there, he was involved in international trials and pioneering procedures. Dr. Aroney’s clinical focus includes the management of aortic stenosis, acute coronary syndromes, structural heart disease, cardiac 3D modelling, and risk factor modification. He has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents at both national and international conferences. His procedural expertise includes coronary and structural interventions, such as percutaneous coronary intervention (stents), transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and adult congenital interventions (PFO, ASD). Dr Ben Pang is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist providing specialist care to people with irregular heart rhythms and other heart-related conditions. Dr Pang has clinical interests in arrhythmia ablation including supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation and ventricular ectopy/tachycardia and also implants pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and performs cardiac resynchronisation therapy for heart failure. Ben graduated from Monash University and then undertook a non-invasive imaging fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne focusing on echocardiography.
